Tracking Depot 053 John K Philips

10 February 2016

Innovation is what often separates the professional from the amateur, and as logistics suppliers are often referred to somewhat cheekily as "IT companies that also deliver freight"; we were delighted to hear that Hazchem Network Depot 053, John K Philips Group have invested heavily with RAM Tracking to monitor the status of their extensive fleet of vehicles.

We asked John Brotherton, JKP’s Customer Services Supervisor for more information -

As of the 1st of February 2016 the John K Philips Group will be able to track the location and progress of their extensive fleet of vehicles. This is part of the continued investment plan put forward by John Philips, to ensure that the company is ahead of the competition with one foot firmly in the future.

The investment not only provides a secure way to locate all vehicles and drivers, it will also significantly improve the customers experience and service, as all vehicles are updated every 60 Seconds, providing real time updates and enabling more accurate ETAs. Due to the service which has been provided by RAM Tracking, the company is also able to identify delivery locations that can be ‘problematic’ and a main cause of delays. This will assist the established team of planners in being able to foresee potential issues and route the vehicles accordingly. This will lead to a reduction in late deliveries and a direct improvement in both service and KPIs.

The system also enables a more in depth report which is required for the JKP mega–trailers; and also allows a seamless mileage & fuel usage cost report which will enable the company to collate information to directly reduce costs, and therefore keeping the John K Philips group efficient and cost effective for our customers.

If you need logistics support from North West based, John K Philips group, contact John Brotherton direct, as they are ready to help; and are long-standing and valued members of both Hazchem Network and Palletforce, which augment their own dedicated deliveries carried out on their nationwide fleet.
